Lucky 7's

This day I was reminded in a deep way why I love what I do. I truly enjoy every wedding I get to be a part of, but for some reason that I have yet to put my finger on, this day had something extra. A piece of it though was the mutual appreciation we had for each other and the desire to create something a little different yet still classically beautiful.
I had the fortune to spend some time doing an engagement shoot about a month before the wedding and to sit and talk with Jake and Amanda about their wedding. Only the cool thing about it was that we talked about each other's lives too. We talked beyond our business relationship in a way that really allowed me to get a glimpse into what these two are all about. We chatted jobs, families, hopes, and yes also the wedding.
When I showed up on Saturday morning it was as if I was walking into a friend's house and I just happened to get to take pictures too. The day only got better, and when I left after the last dance I couldn't wait to get home and see the images. I stayed up til 2 am downloading and browsing through the days events.
