Jessica and Mike
I spent an unseasonally hot Saturday capturing the wedding of Jessica and Mike.
I had been corresponding with Jessica from her home in Oregon about the wedding day since our original phone interview in the fall.
She was a treat to work with during the planning phase and I was really looking forward to their wedding.
I was also lucky to be working with Meghan Rathmell from bmerry events (www.bmerryevents.com), who did an amazing job of attending to every last detail.
After the preparations at the Regency we made a beeline for the cooler coastal area of Portland Headlight and Fort Williams Park. The sea breeze took the edge off the heat and we were able to relax a little and have fun creating t
he images of their wedding party and family. The whole day went by so quickly it's hard to remember all the details until I start looking back at the images. From the start at the Regency, to the first meeting at the park in the city, to the formals at the headlight, to the ceremony and then the reception at RiRa in the Old Port; it all went by too quickly.
What does standout and is tack sharp in my memory is the aura that surrounds Jess and Mike. Perhaps they get it from the adventures they've shared in the backcountry, perhaps its just a connection between them that, as the best man put, "can't really be described until you've seen it", or perhaps it's just their version of being in love. Whatever the case may be I wish them the best life has to offer and a marriage full of fun, adventure, and love.
