Hillary and Tom

Recently I got to shoot the wedding of Hillary and Tom at Migis Lodge on Sebago Lake. What an incredible location, with an even more impressive staff.
It was another unbelievable fall day in what has seemed like a never ending string of unseasonably warm weather. We started with clouds in the morning and by the ceremony we had crisp blue skies, cotton candy clouds, and beautiful afternoon sun. The entirety of the day was just perfect.
Here are a few pics from the day, and for more please visit the slide show. Click here to be directed to the link.

Life.... Full Circle!

Nancy, David & Abby,

As photographers, we pride ourselves on the idea that we are connected with our clients. This could not be more true when I think back to Nancy & David’s wedding from two years ago.

Months after the wedding when David called and asked that we photograph is fathers funeral service, my heart sunk as it was only months prior that I had photographed David standing next to his dad during their wedding celebration. It just made me sick to think of how fast life changes. I was out of town for the service, but Chris stepped in and discreetly captured a few photos of the service that honored David’s fathers life.

Last week the circle has come full circle as Nancy called and asked that I photograph their new baby “Abby.” As I edit these photos of this beautiful baby I cant help but think about how gifted I am to be part of this couples most pointed moments in life. The circle of life has turned and I am so excited to show Nancy and David the photos of their new baby.

Lots of love

Tim

P.S. Here are the photos guys!

Toni & Justin

Toni & Justin,

Perhaps one of the most gorgeous churches in the state of Maine has to be the chapel on Rt 88 in Falmouth. This stone building is so gorgeous and the perfect place for Toni & Justin’s wedding. After a beautiful service, I had the pleasure of spending 45 minutes with the bride and groom alone. Its’ this time that I enjoy soo much as an artist.

As we walked around the grounds of the church creating some really fun images, we talked about different ways we could provide this couple a few photos unlike any other of my clients. Unlike any other bride on earth. As this conversation transpired, it was the minister (great guy!) who made a suggestion that even shocked me. As soon as he suggested that we visit the dark tomb under the church to create a few Halloween-esk photos of the newly married couple. My eye lit up in excitement and the Toni seemed okay with the idea. As an artist I seem to be blessed with clients who want their wedding photos to be artistic, elegant and just a little different.

Another great wedding and reception and one that I will never forget! Here are a few photos that I liked. The album designs are coming soon.

Cheers

Tim

Amy Dylan,

I spent last Sunday with Amy & Dylan as they tied the knot. This wedding was blessed with amazing weather and peak foliage outside the reception hall perfect for a few fun photos of these two.

For me, this day was a joy to photograph. Amy & Dylan are low stress, fun people that just seem to role with life. I knew it was going to be a fun day when I arrived to photograph the girls prep. The atmosphere in the room was one of excitement but without the stress that typically hovers over a brides head. Additionally, this day have one other thing that set it aside from other weddings. This was a 50’s theme wedding with flapper dresses and zoot suits. SO much fun to take photos of!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to you both!

Check back next week for album designs and proofs.

Celeste & Matt

Celeste & Matt,

When you work long enough in the wedding business you eventually become friendly with the other professionals in the business. Its all business… But when a fellow wedding professional hires you as a vendor at their wedding, it feels different. Honored is perhaps the best way to explain it.

This was just this case last weekend as I photographed Celeste & Matt’s wedding. I started with Celeste and the ladies in the morning while the second photographer (John) started his day with the guys. John owns his our studio in Chicago and came to Maine to photograph this weeding with me and to take in a few amazing days of leaf peeping. Check out his website

I truly enjoyed this wedding and had a blast working with Celeste and Matt. Working a wedding along side a bride who works in the "biz" is a true joy. Celeste just seemed to role through her wedding day with ease. As I look back at this day I wish only that I had more time to spend with these two together. It is my hope that Celeste might call for a trash the dress session. (Hint hint...wink wink)

A bride with an axe? Each wedding is a chance as an artist to give our clients something a little different. Something no other bride will get on her wedding day. I know its not too normal, but Celeste and Matt have spent the last year renovating an old house. (the house looks amazing inside & nice deck matt!!) Anyway... in the backyard is an old shed and Celeste thought it would be fun to use in her photos. Major props to you. The shed was an amazing background and the axes was the icing on the cake. Bravo to you for being willing to pose in font of the old gem... Un-knowingly, the guys used an old shed for their background across town with John. Perfect!!!!!!!

Anyway... the day was a major success and the Tony Boffa Band put on one heck of a show for all 250 guests.

Check out the photos and the link to the slide show for now.

Baxter State Park Wedding

Todd & Kerry

I headed north from Portland to spend a few days relaxing and taking advantage of the last few days of the fishing season by walking the banks of West Branch of the Penobscot Rive at Chewonki’s Big Eddy Campground. I arrived in the down pore and thanked god for a little cabin and the fact that I didn’t have to set up a tent in the cold driving rain. My reason for being this far north was for a clients wedding and I had decided some time ago that this was the perfect excuse to spend a few days fly fishing…

An so I did…. 5 salon and 4 trout later I had caught enough and was ready Saturdays wedding.

In the shadows of Maine’s great Mount Katahdin lies an amazing piece of real-estate perfect for a fall wedding. Twin Pines Camp is located just outside the park and is just a perfect environment for a low stress wedding. I was blessed with clients that had set aside some time before the wedding to capture a few unique photos with Baxter in the background. An hour with the men and an hour with the ladies proved to be perfect as I had a blast with both groups before and after the wedding.

Below you will find a few of my favorite photos from the day and a link to a slideshow with the best 200 photos set to music. It takes a while to load, so sit back and relax, its worth the wait.

The Woodlands Wedding, Falmouth Maine.

Erin & Paul

Below you will find a few of my favorite photos from last weekends wedding at the Woodlands County Club in Falmouth Maine.

I started my day with Erin and her ladies at a Salon in Town. A cute little salon with three small dogs jumping around and being loved by all of the patrons. Really cute dogs! After the salon we headed to the church and managed to get ready a few moments early in order to capture some fun photos in the cemetery behind the church.

Wedding photos in a cemetery? Yup… these are not your grandmothers wedding photos folks!!!!! Edgy / mod and super cool photos. Perhaps the best group of photos from the entire day. (in my opinion anyway)

Below you will find a link to a slideshow of 128 of my favorite photos. You can log in using your own e-mail and the brides former last name.

Enjoy

Maine Beach Wedding, Old Orchard Beach.

Marlene & Dennis:

In the middle of last week I had the pleasure of getting to know a small group of wonderful people. This assignment was not like my average wedding and I was not sure what to expect when I arrived. As I got to know Marlene and Dennis, and as their service began, I realized that their connection was not any different than my other younger clients. Reviewing the photos from the day has lifted my sprits just a little as it is exciting to see “the look” that Dennis has hidden behind those killer sunglasses for his new bride Marlene.

It is so fun to see “the look” in couples no matter the age or station in life. It means the same thing!

Below is a link to a slideshow of my favorite photos. The password is Dennis’s last name. Turn up your speakers, and wait for it to load…. Its worth the wait.
