A family thing! I feel a little like part of this family now that I have photographed both daughters’ weddings and a Kristin’s new born at only 1 month old. Something tells me I might be seeing another new face in the near future!

New Years Eve!

New Years Eve!

Kristin & I had a blast with Jenn & Eric just south of Bangor on New Years Eve. This winter wedding was blessed with a fresh coat of snow and a beautiful bride. The reception was held in a post and beam barn that was transformed into a magical venue. Decorated by both families, the atmosphere they created with the decorations was top notch. Small birch trees with a dash of Christmas lights surrounded the ball room and other “winter wonderland” accents finished off the décor with an amazing touch of class. "Bravo!" to the decorating team for turning the new (old) barn into the perfect winter wedding location!!!!!

The non traditional candle lighting part of the service was perfect. Jenn and Eric walked through the church lighting a small candle of the first person in each row who in turn helped light the candle of the remaining guests in their respective rows. In all my years of photographing weddings I have yet to see this done at a service and I must say it was perfect.

30 minutes for formal photos was a new world record as we raced out of the church on our way the party. After all this was new years eve and the wedding party was ready to dance!
