Jess, Damon, McKinley, and ???

Last week I spent an hour or so with one of my favorite customers of all time. Jess and Damon got married back in 09 and they are one of my customers that has made good use of their lifetime portrait credit. It’s a lot of fun to spend time with them every 6 months or so and see how their family and lives are evolving. Here are just a few from our session together. Thanks guys – always fun to hang out with you.

The Tucker Family

Earlier this spring I did a session with a past wedding client and their adorable daughter!!! Audrey has stolen the hearts of all those around her and its easy to see why! Here are just a couple photos from our session together.

Mckinley at 6 months

Jess and Damon have been customers and friends for a couple of years now.  I first shot their wedding and since then have had the opportunty to work with Jess when she was pregnant, to do a portrait for her entire family (20+), and now I’m enjoying photographing their daughter whenever possible.  They are the nicest people and are really very genuine in their interactions. I love hanging out with them and photographing them or their beautiful daughter – she is always smiling and loves to play.  To watch this little baby light up when “Papa” walks in the room is unreal!

Here are a few from my last session with her:

Becca and Todd and their Kids

A little while back I was able to get some old friends and their kids in the studio for a brief session.  The kids were at the end of their rope and we had to move really fast.  It was a lot of fun having to work under the pressure of two kids that wanted to play!  Usually when working outdoors with kids this is super easy.  If they want to run around let ‘em.  Inside its a bit more challenging and adds a new element for me.  I had lots of fun pulling out all the “smile” tricks.

We chose to do the session against a black back drop, as that is the way I did their first session almost 18 months ago.  These photos should fit very well with those photos from the past and make for some excellent wall portraits in their home.  The black background really lets the viewer focus on the face and the expressions.  Plus I love photographing little people in black and white.

Baby Dylan

A couple weeks ago I got to photograph the new baby of a wedding client that I have for this upcoming summer.    It was kind of a reversal from the usual way things go, but it was so refreshing working with Christa, Mike and Baby Dylan.  You would hardly know they are new parents.  They were so relaxed and at ease with their parenting that it made me realize that these two are bound for success and a happy life together and as new parents.  Here are just a couple of images from our short session with Dylan.  I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this summer!

Cooper Tully @ 4 months

A few years back, Chris and I had the opportunity to work with Liz and Jeff on their wedding day. This morning I had the pleasure of seeing these two again in my studio as I photographed their gorgeous new son, Cooper.
Here are two snaps from the shoot and a link to the rest of the photos.

Ben Shea @ 3 Months

All of our blog readers know that we are expecting a baby on Christmas day. Since we found out about having a baby, I seem to have been energized when it comes to studio photographer with infants. Last week I spent an hour with 3 month old Ben Shea. Ben has changed sooo much since his first visit at 3 weeks. I am just so shocked to see how much personality he has at only 3 months. All dressed up in his colored shirt he looks like a little man. A very little man!

Enjoy the two links below to ben’s photos!

11 Months & SOOOOO Cute!

I first met Annie when she was only a few weeks old. Today Annie and mother Amanda joined me in the studio for a little photoshoot.

Its hard to explain how amazinly good this child was today. If my baby is this good just one day out of 10 I would be so pleased. Annie loves the camera and even let me hold her to get used to the feeling. We had a blast together!

Amanda: Don‚Äôt worry about the scratch on Annie’s nose. I will fix that in Photoshop on any photo that you or your family selects.

Below is a link to the photos and a slideshow of a few of my favorites.

1 Month Old Ben Shea

I spent an hour with Jodi, Riley and baby Ben this morning at the studio. At only a month old Mother Jodi looks amazing and Ben is so fragile.

The photographs taken today were taken with a very hot lighting technique intentionally whittening Ben’s skin giving him an extra innocent look. He was soo good to sit still for a half hour and even opened his eye for a few frames.

Below is a link to a slideshow and an online gallery of the rest of the photos.

Enjoy
