On occasion, when we aren’t booked for a wedding or some other weekend photo shoot we are asked to help out local charities with their fundraisers. This past Saturday we got to help the local chapter of the American Heart Association with their “Heart Ball”. It was a well run event, that was attended by many of Portlands’ finest. I don’t know the statistics, but from my observations a good deal of money was raised for the Association. Our role at the Ball allowed us a few very brief moments with many of the attendees. We set up a makeshift studio in the lobby and grabbed a few frames of some of the guests as they found time between socializing and bidding in the silent auction. It was a lot of fun and we got to meet some great people.
